The Saginaw Spirit Win Their Third Game in a Row with a Physical Win Over the Owen Sound Attack
The Spirit played host to the Attack on November 1st, 2013 at The Dow Event Center.

The Spirit started the game off with a power play goal off the stick of Cody Payne from Eric Locke and Kristoff Kontos at 4:01. After nearly ten minutes of continued offensive play, the Spirit gained a shorthanded goal on an effort by Dylan Sadowy from Eric Locke. Only 3 minutes later, the Spirit found the net again on a power play goal by Eric Locke from Cody Payne and Jacob Ringuette at 16:25.

The second period began with an Attack power play goal by Chris Bigras from Kyle Hope and Holden Cook at the 34 second mark. The Spirit fought back 23 seconds later with an unassisted goal by Terry Trafford, his third of the season, less than a minute into the period. After eight minutes of play, the Spirit created another shorthanded goal through the efforts of Kristoff Kontos from Terry Trafford at 7:44. The game turned physical 7 minutes later leading to four 10 minute misconducts.

The third period went through nearly 12 minutes of play before the Attack scored their second goal of the game by Kurtis MacDermid from Kurtis Gabriel and Kyle Hope at 11:29. The Attack began to gain momentum as they fired another goal off the stick of Kyle Hope from Kurtis Gabriel at 15:56. With a minute and a half left of the game the Attack pulled goalie Jack Flinn leading to a Spirit goal by Eric Locke from Kristoff Kontos at 18:58. Nikitia Serebryakov blocked a total of 39 shots on goal during the game.
