A pivotal day in creating the framework for the building and development of an OHL franchise comes with the league’s Priority Selection, which is on tap for this weekend. The draft is set for Saturday, April 5th at 9:00 am with the Sarnia Sting owners of the first selection in the process.


The Saginaw Spirit will select its first pick in the number ten position, with eleven picks overall on the day. Following the team’s initial selection, the Spirit will have picks in the third, fourth (from Owen Sound), eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth rounds.


Last year, the Spirit tabbed Peterborough, ON native Mitchell Stephens with their first round pick, selected eighth overall. For all of the day’s results, click on to for updates on the team’s selections and for updates from around the OHL.
