Spirit Announce Pucks & Pages Book Drive

The Saginaw Spirit Charitable Foundation is proud to announce a partnership with the READ Association of Saginaw County  in launching the Pucks & Pages Book Drive beginning Monday, June 21 through July 2, 2021.

The READ Association of Saginaw County, established in 1966, helps students improve their reading skills and discover the joy of reading through their county-wide mentor programs, family literacy programs, and in connecting young readers with residents in nursing homes. READ’s mission is for all students to read at grade level, utilize reading material for entertainment and information, and understand the value and purpose of reading in their daily and future lives!

“Books have a long life and can provide reading practice and enjoyment to many children over many years,” said Cynthia Pape, President & Director, Read Association of Saginaw County. “We are very excited and thankful for this partnership with the Saginaw Spirit to collect these books from the community to place them in the next set of children’s hands who will benefit from reading time as a family!”

Starting June 21st, Spirit Fans and the Great Lakes Bay Region community may drop off new or like new book donations to the Saginaw Spirit Store, located at 5789 State Street in Saginaw. The Saginaw Spirit Store is open Monday through Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. By donating new and like new books for all age ranges, you can help local students in your area. Monetary donations will also be accepted. For every donation your name is entered in to the drawing to win a pair of game-used Bode Wilde gloves! The winning name will be drawn end of day July 2nd, and announced at a later date.
