Spirit announce 2023 Development Camp Roster at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena

Saginaw, Mich. – The Saginaw Spirit are pleased to announce the roster and schedule for their 2023 Development Camp on May 5th and 6th at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena.

The Spirit will welcome 20 prospects and five players from last season’s roster for drills, scrimmages, and information sessions. 11 forwards, nine defensemen, and five goaltenders will hit the ice at Saginaw Bay Ice Arena on Friday and Saturday. Prospects attending the camp were selected in the 2022 and 2023 OHL Priority Selections, as well as the 2023 U18 Priority Selection.

The second day of Development Camp will divide the players into three teams (red, white, and blue) for a series of 3-on-3 scrimmages. Returning players from the 2022-2023 rosters are (F) Michael Misa, (F) Bode Stewart, (F) Liam Storch, (D) Josh Glavin, and (D) Zayne Parekh.

(F) Callum McAuley of the Soo Jr. Greyhounds 18U and (G) Connor Davis of the Windsor Jr. Spitfires 18U received Free Agent invitations

All on-ice sessions are free and open to the public. Saginaw Bay Ice Arena will have limited concessions available during on-ice activities on Friday and Saturday (6129 Bay Rd, Saginaw, MI 48604).

On-Ice Schedule

Friday May 5th

9-10am- Goalie on ice session

10-11am – Defense on ice session

11-12pm – Forwards on ice session

3-4pm – Small area games (all players)

4-5pm – Drills and intro to concepts practice (all players)

5-6pm – OHL practice (all players)

 

Saturday May 6th

9-10am – Small area games (all players)

10-11am – Goalie on ice session

11-12pm – 3 vs 3 tournament (all players split into three teams)
