12/09/14 Saginaw Spirit Announce Trade with the Ottawa 67’s

The Saginaw Spirit announce today the completion of a trade which has the team dealing second year defenseman Ryan Orban to the Ottawa 67’s. In return, Saginaw receives fellow sophomore rearguard Troy Henley and an 8th round pick (Ottawa) in the 2016 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

Orban was selected by Saginaw 23rd overall in the 2013 OHL draft, appearing in 23 games for the Spirit this season where he recorded three assists. Overall in 65 OHL games, Orban has yet to record a goal with seven assists.

Henley, was drafted by the 67’s three positions earlier than Orban in the 2013 Priority Selection going 20th overall, and the Philadelphia area native skated in 20 games for the 67’s this season going pointless in those match ups. Overall in 76 OHL games to date, Henley has recorded two goals and six assists.
