Cole Coskey wins CIBC Showdown with 41% of the vote

SAGINAW, Mich. – On Monday at Midnight when the polls closed for this week’s CIBC CHL Showdown, it was Cole Coskey’s end-to-end goal from Sept. 30th earning 41% of the vote for the Play of the Week in the entire 60-team Canadian Hockey League.

 

Coskey’s goal electrified the 3,500+ fans in attendance at The Dow Event Center to tie the game with the Guelph Storm at 1-1.

 

This is the first win for the Ontario Hockey League in the CIBC CHL Showdown. In week 1, Patrick Bajkov of the Everett Silvertips in the WHL beat out Andrei Svechnikov of the Barrie Colts in the OHL and Maxime Fortier of the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL.
