Spirit, FM Talk and Sports WSGW 100.5 extend radio broadcasting partnership through 2020-21 season
The Saginaw Spirit announced Friday they have renewed their radio broadcasting partnership with Alpha Media to broadcast all 68 regular season games and playoffs on FM Talk and Sports WSGW 100.5 through the 2020-21 season.
“We are very pleased to continue our radio flagship agreement with Alpha Media, on WSGW-FM,” said Spirit President & Managing Partner Craig Goslin.
“Alpha’s five radio stations, with a massive listening audience, have been integrated into the fabric of the region and into the Saginaw Spirit. It’s our pleasure to continue this relationship for the next three seasons. Our broadcast coverage on the radio is second to none with Joey Battaino, Dennis Desrosiers, and Domenic Papa. who have over 50 years of experience between them.”
The new agreement adds more Spirit coverage than ever before, including a new “Spirit in :60” segment, and promotion with multiple mentions and promotions of Spirit hockey games across all five Alpha Media stations on home game days throughout the season.
In addition to the “Spirit in :60” segment and carrying all 68 games and playoffs, Joey Battaino will continue his interviews across the radio cluster on Thursday morning visits with “The Morning Team Show” featuring Dave Mauer, Charlie Rood, Pat Johnston, and Art Lewis on WSGW-AM and WSGW-FM, as well as “The Moose Morning Show” with Jim Biggins and Jodi K on 94.5 WCEN-FM The Moose throughout the season to provide updates on promotional events, local community initiatives, and the state of the hockey club.
“We are thrilled to work with the Spirit organization again and to have the chance to continue our partnership with Joey (Battaino), Craig (Goslin) and Mr. (Dick) Garber,” said Alpha Market Manager Mark Thomas.
“The Saginaw Spirit is an important part of the Great Lakes Bay Region and WSGW-FM is proud to bring our community all things Spirit.”
