Spirit Alumni T.J. Brodie Suits up for First NHL Game

Here Today, NHL Tomorrow!  Saginaw Spirit alumni T.J. Brodie is on the roster for the Calgary Flames’ first game of the 2010-2011 regular season, when they take on the home team Edmonton Oilers Thursday night.  It marks the first NHL game for Brodie, who played for the Spirit from 2006 to 2009.

The Spirit take on the Guelph Storm at The Dow Event Center on Saturday, October 9; game time is 7:11 PM.  Saturday’s game is the fourth annual PINK OUT Breast Cancer Awareness Game benefiting the St. Mary’s of Michigan Seton Cancer Institute.  The team will be wearing special pink jerseys during the game, to be auctioned off post-game with the proceeds going to benefit the cause.  There is also a pink pom-pon giveaway and a pre-game charity hockey game staring the Hockey Angles at 4:30 PM.
