Saginaw Spirit to play in Preseason Showcase hosted by Kitchener Rangers; announce Preseason schedule

Showcase will be held from Aug. 31 – Sept. 2 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium

Saginaw, Michigan – The Saginaw Spirit, in conjunction with the Kitchener Rangers, is pleased to announce they will participate in a Preseason Showcase at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium from August 31 – September 2, 2018. Along with the Spirit and Rangers, the Showcase will feature the North Bay Battalion as well as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Moncton Wildcats.
All teams will meet over the course of the weekend, with three games per team for a total of six weekend games.
Tickets to the Preseason Showcase are $10 for a weekend pass which provides entry to all games, or $5 per game. Seating for the games will be general admission.
For Spirit fans interested in purchasing tickets, they are available via presale starting Monday, August 20 at the Kitchener Rangers business office only (not available online or through Centre in the Square) and are cash only sales. The Kitchener Rangers business office is open Monday-Friday, 9:30am to 1pm and 2pm-5pm.
Tickets will also be available day of game at the door; cash only sales.
All proceeds will go to support the Children’s Wish Foundation.

“Being able to start our exhibition schedule off this way allows us time to properly evaluate players in a competitive environment, while allowing the players a chance to play three games in three days and spend time together as a group.”

Moncton Wildcats vs. Saginaw Spirit – 11am
North Bay Battalion vs. Kitchener Rangers – 2pm
In addition to the three games played in the Preseason Showcase, the Spirit will also participate in a home-and-home series with their Coors Light I-75 Divide Rival Flint Firebirds. Friday, September 14, the Spirit will travel to Flint, and Saturday, September 15, the Spirit will host the Firebirds at The Dow Event Center. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets for home preseason and 2018-19 regular season games will go on sale Monday, August 20, 2018 at the Saginaw Spirit Store at 5789 State Street. Preseason home game tickets are $7.
